Pat identifies as an abstract artist and has been creating artwork for the past 4 years residing in Exeter, Rhode Island. Pat’s artwork is physical therapy for her as she is handicapped with muscular dystrophy.
Her inspiration and motivation in painting was her sister Claire, an art teacher, who one day convinced Pat to apply layers of colors on a canvas and take a pallet knife to it and see what happens. Well the rest is history, Pat was hooked on abstract painting. She puts her heart and soul in her artwork and resembles painting as watching an orchestra, the paint does the work you direct it getting lost and finding yourself all at the same time. The techniques she uses are acrylic paints, mixed media, layering, pallet knives and other tools for creativity and inspiration.
